Imagine Marianne Faithfull doing an impersonation of Eartha Kitt while performing Goth Cabaret selections from Marc Almond’s Mother Fist and Her Five Daughters. It’s very twisted and very pretty, with Tracy’s sex-and-death cast narratives fit into velvet music. Like poisonings at a British seaside resort, this sort of thing has been literally done to death but remains oddly compelling. Pass the arsenic, please. - Nick Dedina
